Do Not Disturb on Your iPhone: How to Turn It On or Off
What is Do Not Disturb?
Do Not Disturb is a mode on your iPhone that silences calls, turns off vibration, and blocks visual disturbances.
This can be helpful when you need to focus on something important, such as work or sleep. When Do Not Disturb is turned on, it will send incoming calls to voicemail and will not alert you about calls or text messages.
How to Turn Do Not Disturb On or Off
- Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to pull up the Control Center.
- Tap the Do Not Disturb icon.
- To turn Do Not Disturb off, tap the icon again.
You can also set Do Not Disturb to turn on or off at certain times or when you are in certain locations. To do this, go to Settings > Do Not Disturb.
How to Identify When Do Not Disturb is On
When Do Not Disturb is turned on, you will see a moon icon in the status bar at the top of the screen. You will also see a notification that says "Do Not Disturb is on."
